Built on craft & trust

The business started in Secunda in 1992 as JVR Thatchers, moved into swimming pools at Nelspruit in 2001 and has traded as JVR Pools and Decks since 2009. Its head office remains in Mpumalanga, with a separate KwaZulu-Natal operation covering the coast.

Construction is in gunite and concrete, finished in marbelite or Beadcrete, and spans overflow and infinity pools, splash pools, custom shapes and commercial work for lodges and hotels. Pool covers and renovations to existing pools are handled too.

The group runs four pool teams and a dedicated decking team, hires locally, and says seventy per cent of its staff have been with it ten years or more.
