The business started in 2009 and fits factory-made shells, so the shape and finish chosen on paper is what arrives on site. Shapes are grouped into 3m, 4m, 5m and 6m ranges for smaller gardens, with 7m, 8m and lap pools for larger properties.
Much of the work sits in the groundwork rather than the pool. Over the years the team has dealt with a range of challenges around excavation, rubble removal and manoeuvring a shell into its final position, and new owners are talked through looking after the pool once it is in.
Finishing choices cover shell colours, coping and mosaic detailing. Although installation is the main focus, Pooltopia also replaces pumps, filters and chlorinators and fits solar heating panels on existing pools.
