Thatch Crete has been trading for 22 years and builds rock pools, beach-entry pools and flagstone-paved pools around Boksburg and the wider East Rand.
Shells are hand-packed 30MPa concrete with steel reinforcing, finished in marblite or fibreglass, and the work carries a three-year workmanship guarantee. Because the team also builds thatch roofs, enclosed lapas, rock braais with serving counters, boma areas and paving, an entire entertainment area can be done by one contractor.
The company was named pool builder of the year at the Rand Easter Show in 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2008, and has since added NSPI Gold, Silver and Platinum awards for gunite, restoration and unusual structure work.
