Perched on a timber deck above the KwaZulu-Natal shoreline, this raised rectangular pool earned Kenny Matthews Pools a Gold Award in the Residential Gunite / Hand Packed Concrete (over 20m²) category at the 2025 NSPI Awards.
The project
About this pool
Deep sapphire water meets a rim-flow edge that runs level with the horizon, so the pool appears to spill towards the rocky beach below. A slim stone coping caps the charcoal-rendered shell, while hardwood decking and coastal planting frame the water on the landward side.
