Perched high above the Knysna estuary, this rim-flow pool reads as a sheet of glass sliding into the view, the water shifting from pale aqua over the shallow ledge to deep blue at the vanishing edge.
The project
About this pool
Large-format grey stone tiles pave the surrounding terrace, stepped seating rises to one side and composite timber decking borders the outer rim, with a sculptural figure standing sentinel over the lagoon panorama. The project earned Island Pools a Gold Award in the Pool Finishing category at the 2025 NSPI Awards for the Western Cape.
